According to sources from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), 1,000 additional Border Patrol agents are set to be deployed to Minneapolis in the near future. Currently, there are approximately 2,000 agents on the ground in the area. The DHS is intensifying its focus on Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). The deployment of more immigration agents is expected to allow Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) investigators to continue their work on ongoing fraud investigations.
