China will impose provisional anti-subsidy tariffs on certain dairy products imported from the European Union, effective December 23, 2025. The tariffs will range from 21.9% to 42.7%.

This decision follows a preliminary ruling from an anti-subsidy investigation that was initiated in August 2024. The investigation concluded that EU subsidies had caused substantial damage to China"s domestic dairy industry.
