Saudi Arabia is set to acquire JF-17 Thunder fighter jets from Pakistan in a $4 billion deal. According to reports, half of the transaction will be conducted through a loan swap, while the remaining amount will be paid in cash.
Additionally, Pakistan and Sudan are finalizing a $1.5 billion defense agreement that includes the procurement of JF-17 fighter jets, drones, and air defense systems for Sudan.
Turkey has expressed interest in joining the defense alliance recently established between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. An agreement to formalize Turkey"s participation is expected to be finalized soon.
These developments come amid ongoing regional security concerns and highlight the growing military collaborations among these nations.
