A six-hour ceasefire in Aleppo has been announced by the Syrian Ministry of Defense, set to take place from 3:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The ceasefire will halt fighting in the city and requires fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to withdraw from the Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zeid neighborhoods.
During the ceasefire, SDF fighters are permitted to carry only personal light weapons. The Syrian Army has pledged to escort the SDF fighters and ensure their safe passage to areas under SDF control in northeastern Syria.
This development comes amid ongoing tensions in the region, as previously reported. The ceasefire aims to facilitate the withdrawal of SDF forces from contested neighborhoods in Aleppo.
