US President Donald Trump announced today that the United States, in coordination with the Interim Authorities of Venezuela, has seized an oil tanker that departed from Venezuela without approval. The tanker is currently en route back to Venezuela.
The seized oil will be sold through what Trump described as the GREAT Energy Deal, which has been established for such sales. This development marks a significant action by the US government regarding Venezuelan oil exports.
