[Video] Guanacos return to Chaco region after 110 years in historic relocation

Video: Footage shows a group of guanacos returning to the Chaco region after 110 years, following their release in El Impenetrable National Park. The animals were transported from Patagonia Park in Santa Cruz province in a historic operation marking a turning point in conservation efforts in Argentina. The relocation involved a 3,200-kilometer journey, the longest recorded in the world for this purpose, allowing the species to return to an ecosystem from which it had completely disappeared. The initiative aims to recover wild populations and restore ecological functions in a region altered by human activity.
