An ISIS flag was discovered in the vehicle of Bondi Beach mass shooting suspects Naveed and Sajid Akram, according to a report by ABC Australia. The incident occurred on December 14, 2025.
Australia’s domestic intelligence agency, ASIO, had previously investigated Naveed Akram six years ago due to his close ties with a Sydney-based Islamic State cell. Joint Counter Terrorism Team investigators now believe that the gunmen had pledged allegiance to ISIS prior to the attack.
This development follows a series of recent reports regarding terrorism-related activities in Australia, highlighting ongoing concerns about domestic security and extremist affiliations.
