#BREAKING | Taiwan — A Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF) F-16V fighter jet (serial 6700) crashed into the sea during a routine night training mission off Hualien County on January 6, 2026.
The pilot, Captain Hsin Po-yi, is believed to have ejected safely from the aircraft. Search and rescue operations are currently underway, involving aircraft, helicopters, and vessels.
