On January 5, 2026, the last flight transiting through Saudi Arabian (KSA) airspace en route to Eastern Libya was observed. Since that date, no further flights have been detected in this corridor.
Additionally, flights departing from Kufrah, Libya, to Bosaso, Somalia, have ceased routing through Egyptian airspace and the Red Sea.
These developments come amid ongoing tensions in the region, as highlighted by recent developments regarding Saudi Arabia"s stance on reconciliation mediations proposed by UAE"s Mohammed bin Zayed.
